Hello, World!
After spending months building things, breaking them, rebuilding them, and occasionally forgetting to document any of it, I figured it was finally time to start writing.
So, welcome.
This is my little corner of the internet where I’ll be documenting whatever I’m currently obsessed with. Sometimes that’ll be a project I’m building. Sometimes it’ll be a concept I found interesting enough to spend an entire evening reading documentation for. And sometimes it’ll just be a story about a bug that made me question my understanding of computers.
I don’t really want this blog to have a strict theme.
One month I might be writing about an embedded operating system. The next could be a distributed backend, an ESP32 project, a networking rabbit hole, or something completely different that caught my attention. If I think it’s worth understanding, it’s probably worth writing about.
Most posts won’t be tutorials.
Instead, they’ll be the kind of notes I wish I could’ve read when I was learning something myself—the reasoning behind a design decision, the trade-offs that weren’t obvious at first, mistakes I made, dead ends I explored, and the occasional moment where everything finally clicked.
I also want this to be a record of my own journey.
Projects change. Ideas evolve. Looking back at something you wrote a year ago and realizing how much your thinking has changed is surprisingly valuable. Hopefully, future me gets something out of this too.
If you’ve somehow ended up here, thanks for reading.
Whether you’re another engineer, a student, or someone who accidentally found this through a search engine, I hope you find at least one post that makes you think, “Huh… I never looked at it that way.”
Anyway…
This seemed like a good place to start.
See you in the next post.
